Silent Data [Oracle] Overview

Blockchains and smart contracts have enabled a layer of sophisticated Decentralised Finance (DeFi) applications.
Blockchains are siloed by nature meaning that external data needs to be posted on-chain from an external platform in order for smart contracts to act on it.
This creates the issue of how to trust the parties posting data on the chain. This has given rise to a series of “blockchain oracle” services whose sole purpose is to post data on-chain.
